Term 1: Week 8, 19. 03. 2020
Principal’s Message Kia Ora Whanau,
We have had a fabulous week sharing our lovely spaces with our community. Last week started with a visit from 10 Gisborne Principals who focused their visit on learning more about our teaching programmes and outdoor environments. We had the Middle School Swimming Sports and the Community Grandparents day. All these events were fabulously supported and became a showcase of Allandale School students’ talents.
Many of you will have noticed that a lot of our sports events have been either cancelled or postponed. In order to deliver Best Practice assemblies are cancelled until further notice. All our planned school trips will be placed on hold until given permission by the school to continue.
Your school appreciates the consistent support we get from our whanau, community, and BOT.
Thank you, Adrianne McAllister
Early finish next week
Allandale School will be closing at 12.00 noon on Wednesday the 25th March. The rest of the day our teachers will be developing continuous learning programmes. These programmes will be available to all our students to maintain continuous learning. With this in mind, our focus will be to support whanau with embracing the love of learning, inquisitive minds, problem solving and learning through play.
Our staff, teachers, team leaders, senior management team, and our BOT’s have been working tirelessly to ensure that our students and whanau are safe, healthy, and provided with best practice in these challenging times. Allandale School is committed to providing our community with honesty and transparent communication and we thank you for your on-going support.
