Ka Pai Kai: healthy, free school lunches
Our kura is part of the government’s Ka Ora, Ka Ako healthy free school lunches programme that aims to reduce food insecurity by providing access to a nutritious lunch in school every day.
Our tamariki enjoy a varied lunch menu made fresh to order each day from Ka Pai Kai Rotorua’s Whakatāne team. Ka Pai Kai’s mission is to nourish the minds of the future generation.
Lunches are made using quality ingredients, and no processed meats or highly refined flours or sugar. Ka Pai Kai uses exclusively free-range eggs and locally grown produce where it is available. Like us, Ka Pai Kai cares about the environment, so their lunches are delivered in compostable or recyclable packaging.
