“What lights me up about supporting Allandale is being part of a collaborative team where we're all working together to provide the best environment and education we can for our tamariki. It's awesome to be part of a group of people with shared values all using our different skills towards a shared focus; doing things better and differently to improve the outcomes for our kids.

Our tamariki are amazing; they have all the potential in the world. And our job and responsibility is to provide the right support and environment for them to reach that potential.”

“Te Kura o Motueka is a brilliant kura that really has the best interests of our tamariki at its heart. The teaching team is hugely passionate and dedicated, and kaiako work together to create a beautiful environment for our tamariki to thrive in.

It’s a privilege to be part of a team that brings a range of skills and experience, and can work collaboratively to achieve the best outcomes for the school.”

“What makes me excited about Allandale is the vibrant, diverse and passionate staff, students and whanau. The Approach to learning here is progressive, with ongoing investment in our amazing kaiako, learning spaces and initiatives like learning through play, if feels like we are doing our best to prepare our tamariki for the future.

Allandale is special for lots of reasons, however for me it is the shared values and vision we have as a community; driven by the desire to offer the best to all of our tamariki, setting them up for success.”

I want to see our tamariki achieving in all ways, especially in their academic progression, but also in sporting and cultural initiatives. Perhaps more importantly, I want our kids to have a school where they can be themselves, grow into life, and have lots of opportunities to be the best that they can be.

I will endeavour to enhance our kura so that our tamariki can flourish. Iti rearea, teitei kahikatea ka taea – even the smallest bird of the forest can reach the tops of the highest tree. Our kids have immense potential, and our collective efforts should focus on unleashing it. Nō reira, huri noa, huri noa, tēnā tātau katoa.
