Kia ora e te whānau,

Hope everyone has had a great week (despite being a very wet one).

Big mihi to all whānau for following the Allandale School at Alert Level 2 rules.  The recent positive case that visited Tauranga serves as a reminder that it is still very important that these rules are followed until we are told otherwise so please keep it up whānau.

We always do our best to tautoko tamariki with Te Reo me ona tikanga and this week - Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori has been no different.  I have enjoyed learning new waiata alongside my daughter and encourage everyone to continue on their own journey with Te Reo me ona tikanga regardless if it is Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori or not. Kia kaha whānau.

Matua Joe is working on a new system for the Bike and Scooter Sheds.  This will involve Licences / Passports, a Photo ID, Naming Scooters, Helmet Management and the safety rules around this.  Matua Joe will be working with select students who will act as kaitiaki for our bike and scooter sheds and we are happy about what this means for everyone moving forward.

We are also reviewing our schools concerns and complaints policy / processes and aim to share these with everybody once confirmed and before the end of this term.  Reminder: If there is something you wish to discuss re: your child at Allandale School the place to start is with his / her classroom teacher.

Kia pai o koutou rā whakata.

 Matua Rikki

Our tamariki have had a busy week settling back into school routines. In class they have been sharing their thoughts and experiences during Levels 4 and 3
